Texas Wesleyan University

Summer Chemistry Camp
for Kids

In conjunction with the Fort Worth Independent School District, Texas Wesleyan provides a Summer Chemistry Camp for Kids entering the fourth through the sixth grades. Students explore the wonders of science through chemistry, biology, and physics experiments. Field trips to the Fort Worth Zoo and the Museum of Science and History's Noble Planetarium were also part of the program. Classes are supervised by professors and students from Texas Wesleyan's science programs. Guest speakers from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and the Texas Wesleyan Nurse Anesthesia Program have also been involed as mentors for the young scientists.

At Texas Wesleyan, professors in the departments of chemistry, biology, and physics understand that today's students will serve as tomorrow's scientists. The goal is to inspire and interest students in a lifelong love of science at a very early age.
(This, by the way, is Dania Rodriguez. Isn't she just the cutest?!)
