Chemical Society Student Affiliates emphasize childrens' education by providing
a free of charge
Chem Magic Show. Since 1991, students and faculty have gone to over 50 elementary, middle and high schools of the Fort Worth, Crowley, Arlington, and Birdville Independent School Districts. The 1-1.5 hour program of chemical demonstrations has been presented to over 5,000 students in both English and Spanish. |

In addition, the Student Affiliates sponsored a "Summer Enrichment Program in Chemistry for Children." The program, which targeted economically disadvantaged minority children, provided a free educational experience in chemistry to 30 local Hispanic and African-American students (3rd-6th grade). |
