| The Nu Zeta Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor
society, has approximately thirty active faculty and student members. In
addition to regular business meetings, each Fall and Spring we meet for
a dinner, initiation, and literary reading. Members have also been active
presenting papers and panels on the program for the annual Sigma Tau Delta
International Convention, held in various cities around the country. |

| On campus, we sponser an annual writing contest with first, second, and
third places and cash prizes being awarded in poetry, fiction, and essay.
The organization also helps to sponsor and staff other events such as the
Eunice and James West Library Book Sale. |
